What should I do when a proposal is made

Some female folks are often carried away when they are being proposed to. After intensed study and observation, I was able to come out five points on what I believe a lady should do when she is proposed to (dating). I may not be 100% right, but I believe you will get wisdom in these few points of mine. Below are some of my points:

1. Ask for a little time. When he proposed to you, don't just accept immediately, ask him to give you little time. Don't be too fast, don't be carried away by emotions. Remember your decision today have repercussions in the future.

2. Seek the face of the Lord in prayer. It is not news that marriage is not hundred percent spiritual but it is very vital to pray especially when proposal is made. Turn the general prayer to specific prayer. For example; Oh Lord is this the person?

3. Make further enquiry. Develop marital literacy by making further enquiry on;

A. Compatibility test. You should be able to know if both of you can get along with each other.

B. Spirituality test. You should be able to know the faith of the person and his spiritual disposition. 

C. Love test. You should be able to test, if the love that he have for you is genuine.

D. Fidelity test. You should be able to test how sincere he is.

NOTE: Marriage is a lifetime journey. Avoid sin, sex, mentality to marry from the same trib.

4. Inform your pastor or mentor. Don't mask it, let your pastor or mentor to be aware. I promise, you will not regret it! You can also involve trusted friends if possible.

5. Make your decision. When you make your decision, do not complain; stick to your choice.
