This controversy put me on the edge to make adequate investigation. Study reveals that people tends to study late into the night during quiz and examination period, hence, health specialists says the loose of sleep during these night session could work against those who practice it. Scientific research has also shown that man sleep at night simply because of the disappearance of the sun.
Study
has shown that when the sun goes down; the body temperature reduces a bit, the
brain waves also reduce, and hormone called melatonin is released by the brain
which makes the eyes heavy and automatically close by itself. Have you
wondered why you study and feel sleeping at the same time? You feel sleeping as
a result of the release of melatonin. If sleep is cut short, the body does not
have time to complete all of the phases needed for muscle repair, memory
consolidation and release of hormones regulating growth and appetite. When you
sleep well, you tend to wake up feeling refreshed and alert for your daily
activities. Sleep affects how you look, feel and perform on a daily basis, and
can have a major impact on the quality of life your life.
To
this end, I advise that students should study throughout the semester/term in a
favorable environment set for study, not merely waiting till the end of the
semester/term. This article do not really hold the fact that one should not
study at evening, but it point out the danger of late night reading in pursuit
of good grade. Effort should be made to avoid late night study.
