Online Businesses And Platforms To Avoid

It is obvious that money making online businesses and schemes are so popular nowadays because of  COVID-19 Lock down. Everybody wants to make money from home, but some persons have stepped into traps because of the quest to make extra income online, hence this article.

I want to clarify that there are genuine online platforms and businesses where one can make money, but there are also thousands of dubious online platforms and businesses out there to duped people.

Therefore; before investing into any online business or platform, it is very important to avoid this trends:

1. Avoid any online scheme or business that has no trace of any physical structures. When the business has no trace of physical structures such as office buildings, branch or headquarters please avoid such business.

2. Avoid any online scheme or business whose founders don't have any good track record. Founders must be well known and have a good reputation. Before you invest make a thorough research on; who the founders are, their expertise, how long they have been in business and their past track records.

3. Avoid any online scheme or business that don't have any tangible products or services they are selling. There must be a product or service the business is rendering. It can be digital or physical products, and service rendered for money to be made. When this is not in place, please avoid such business.

4. Avoid any online scheme or business that often requires you to fill some forms (especially on Google form) with the intention is get bank verification number (BVN) or other vital information.

5. Avoid any online schemes or businesses that are involved in instant money doubling. Most of such online businesses are often Ponzi schemes and platforms that promotes malicious intents that look unrealistic. Example register with 15k today and cash out 30k within 24 hours, bring in 5 people and cash out, after your money grow to certain limit you will cash out, etc.

6. Avoid any online scheme or business that it's website URL is not encrypted with padlock or flag. When the padlock or flag next to the website URL is not encrypted, avoid such business. When the website is encrypted, your information and transactions on such website can't be intercepted.

Although, scammers are able to forge or buy these padlocks, so seeing one doesn't always mean a website is safe. Therefore  check padlock or flag and other tips stated above.
